Women tea pluckers work at tea garden at Srimangal, Bangladesh. Tea is a major industry in Bangladesh and grows in the low hills of Chittagong and Sylhet. There are about 158 tea gardens with a total of 47,938 hectares under tea cultivation with yearly production of about 50 million kilos of tea. The industry provides employment to about 150,000 ethnic people with 500,000 dependants. Srimangal, Bangladesh. August 2008.
